Event Training Plans

Have you been thinking about riding in an organized group ride, but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you are planning a multi-day tour and want to make sure you are going to have what it takes. These 1-3 month “event” driven training plans are designed to take the guesswork out of preparation and training and ensure you are ready on your event day. The plans include a proven training program, as well as supporting training information. We have plans built for the following:

  • Beginner training for your first organized cycling event (60 miles or less)
  • Beginner training for your first century (60-100 miles)
  • Performance plans for an organized cycling event
  • Performance plans for multi-day cycling tours

Plans starting as low as $29 per month, no start-up fee. One on one consultation will be available for an additional fee.

Semi-Custom Training Plans

Our semi-custom plan takes all of your priorities into consideration when building the plan. This plan bridges the gap between trying to build your own plan vs. a fully customized training plan. If your time is valuable, and your priorities are many, this plan will help ensure you meet your goals.

$49 per month, $49.00 start-up fee includes initial consultation. Further one on one consultation will be available for an additional fee.

Fully Custom Training Plans

If you really want to take advantage of all that coaching has to offer, and truly maximize your potential, a fully custom training plan is the way to get there. Your coach will spend a significant amount of time learning about you and how other priorities may influence your training schedule. Training Plans will be built for you and your unique needs, following a unique and proven methodology. (Learn more about our process)

Bronze Training Plans

  • Monthly plans built specifically for the individual and their unique qualities and needs.
  • These plans can be tailored for any athlete, any level, and any discipline.
  • Unlimited client-driven contact for clarification of the plan, training questions, etc.
  • Evaluation and updates based on critical data reports (Heart Rate, Power, Physiological testing, etc.)

$129 per month, $79.00 start up fee. Consultation is included in the monthly fee.

Silver Training Plans

  • Month by month plans built specifically for the individual. These plans can be tailored for any athlete, any level, and any discipline.
  • Unlimited client-driven contact for clarification of the plan, training questions, etc.
  • Ability to change the training plan based on changes to the athletes schedule. Accommodates unplanned trips, extended illness, life-changes, etc.
  • Maximize your fitness with limited training time and a volatile schedule.
  • Evaluation and updates based on critical data reports (Heart Rate, Power, Physiological testing, etc.)

$179 per month, $79 start-up fee

Gold Training Plans

  • Start-up fee includes initial consultation, goal setting, and development of milestones. In addition, you will receive initial physiological testing for Ventilatory and/or Lactate Threshold and VO2Max. Results will include power and heart rate zones for training.
  • Highly effective block training built specifically for the individual and their unique qualities and needs. These plans can be tailored for any athlete, but tend to best serve athletes with needs for immediate feedback based on prior training data (power, heart rate, field tests and quarterly physiological testing).
  • Quarterly physiological testing included in the cost (where available), as well as regular “road tests” to evaluate progress.
  • Unlimited client-driven contact for clarification of the plan, training questions, etc.
  • Plan is built block by block (3-4 days), based on the client’s schedule and frequent evaluation of physiological data and goals / milestones. Daily contact (or 2-3 times weekly) is encouraged.

$349 per month, $249 start-up fee

Results

DEC 2007
PTS Coach Shawn Mitchell finished 2nd overall in the SWICA Cyclocross Series. Shawn battled for the top spot against some of the region's top cyclists in the Elite Men's Category 1-2 field.

DEC 2007
PTS Client Rich Brown rode stronger with each successive race throughout the season in a very competitive Master 35+ field, finishing an impressive 2nd place overall.
