Studio E2 and Priority Training Systems are proud to offer an introductory functional strength training series that will establish the ground work for a functional strength training program that will bring power to your pedals.
Why Functional Strength Training?
You body moves and stabilizes in all three planes of motion at one time to provide power to the pedals when you ride. In order to be efficient in all three planes you need to train your muscles, nerves, bones and joints to move in those planes in an integrated fashion.
Functional strength training will develop optimal movement through the whole body to improve
strength, power and endurance on the bike by improving cycling related movement efficiency.
This type of training will keep you on the bike, ride after ride, by balancing the distribution of strength throughout the body and reducing the likelihood of injury due to overload of elements of the kinetic chain that may be neglected.
Traditional strength training isolates movement and muscles and increases the likelihood of strength imbalances and the risk of injury, especially when your body moves in a plane of motion that you have not adequately trained your nerves, muscles, bones and joints to move in.

- An initial movement assessment/screening
- A personalized one on one functional strength training workout at E2
- A team (group of 4) functional strength training workout.
